Arco Arena

Address: One Sports Parkway Sacramento, CA 95834
Home of: Sacramento Kings (NBA) Sacramento Monarchs (WNBA)
Year Opened: 1988
Capacity: 17,317

The Sacramento Kings faithful fans pile into Arco Arena to see all of the Kings home games. The city of Sacramento has been incredibly supportive of the Kings. When the stadium opened in 1988 the team has sold out each and every game despite not making it to the playoffs while being housed in Arco Area until 1996. The streak is still going strong today and Arco Arena is a tough place for opposing teams to play in. The Kings regularly have one of the top five best home records in the NBA and its all because of the passionate people of Sacramento and the way that the fans seem to sit on top of the court at Arco Arena. The arena is also one of the few professional sports venues in the US that was built completely without taxpayers’ money.

Arco Arena is one of the more versatile venues of its kind. The Arena also holds WNBA basketball games, ice shows, hockey games, circuses and concerts. The Arco Arena stage has had some of the biggest names in music perform on it like Garth Brooks, the Rolling Stones and Elton John. Arco Arena has also hosted the NCAA Western Regional Men’s Basketball Tournament on two different occasions.
