The Seattle Supersonics of the National Basketball Association play all of their regular season and post season home games at Key Arena. The arena is one of the better venues in the entire league despite it not being quite as new as some of the stadiums that have been recently built. Key Arena has been the home of a number of very big games for the Supersonics. In 1996, Key Arena was the host of three NBA Finals games that featured players like Gary Payton and Shawn Kemp of the Supersonics and Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen of the Chicago Bulls. The Supersonics would eventually lose the series but won two out of the three games played in Key Arena.

Key Arena isn’t just the home of the Supersonics. The arena also hosts all the Seattle Storm games of the WNBA and the Seattle Thunderbirds games of the WHL. Key Arena also has a wide variety of events that come through the arena in each given year. Some of the events that happen at Key Arena are concerts like Aerosmith, Celine Dion, Elton John, and Garth Brooks. It also hosts events like Disney on Ice, the WWE, NCAA tournaments, and the TJ MAXX Tour of Gymnastics Champions.
