The New Orleans Hornets of the National Basketball Association call the New Orleans Arena their home away from home. One of the biggest reasons that the Hornets decided to move out to New Orleans was because of the new debt free stadium that they would be playing in. The stadium is one of the more aesthetically pleasing stadiums in the NBA. It is also located adjacent to the Louisiana Superdome and is inked to it by a walkway. The New Orleans Arena is also within walking distance of 10,000 hotel rooms, the French Quarter district, the Central Business District and riverfront attractions that are unique to New Orleans. The New Orleans Arena utilizes the Superdome parking garage and its massive ticket office.

The New Orleans Hornets aren’t the only ones that play their home games in New Orleans Arena. The New Orleans Voodoo of the Arena Football League and the Tulane University Green Wave of the NCAA call New Orleans Arena their home. The Voodoo began playing in New Orleans Arena in 2004 and won their first game in front of their hometown fans.

The New Orleans Arena also hosts a number of events like concerts, the NCAA Women’s Final Four, the Nokia Sugar Bowl Basketball Classic, concerts, circuses, trade shows, Mardi Gras parties, special convention shows and many other events.
