The Denver Nuggets play half of their 82 regular season game National Basketball Association schedule in one of the country’s nicest sports facilities, the Pepsi Center. The Pepsi Center was rocking in the summer of 2004 when the Nuggets made it to their first playoff series since 1995. This was also the first NBA playoff game that had ever been played in the Pepsi Center.
The Pepsi Center is also the home ice to the Colorado Avalanche. The Avalanche have been a very successful franchise over the past couple of years making it to the playoffs each year and winning their way into the Stanley Cup Finals in 2001.
The Colorado Crush of the Arena Football League also call the Pepsi Center home. The team made it into the playoffs for the first time in 2004 and also won their first divisional championship in just their second season playing in the AFL. One of the owners of the franchise is former Denver Broncos Hall of Famer John Elway. The AFL is a very different kind of game than the NFL that emphasizes boat loads of points thus enhancing the experience of the fan.
