The Atlanta Hawks call the cutting edge Phillips Arena home during their National Basketball Association regular and postseason games. This 20,000 seat stadium opened its doors for the first time in September of 1999. The stadium features almost 92 corporate suites, nine suites that are open to the public to rent on a game to game basis and 1,866 club level seats. With every suite and club level ticket the fan is entitled entrance into The Center Club. The Center Club is an upscale restaurant and lounge where fans can go to grab some good food or grab a drink and watch the game sitting in a leather chair. One of the many amenities that the stadium features is the restaurant Headlines. The grill also features a full bar and activities like air hockey. One of the other features of is the Hawk Walk Food Court. The food court features a wide variety of different food and merchandise. Some of the foods that are sold on the Hawk Walk are grilled sandwiches, pizza, and barbeque sandwiches.
Philips Arena doesn’t just host the Atlanta Hawks games it also hosts the home games of the National Hockey League’s Atlanta Thrashers. The Thrashers play 41 regular season games at Philips Arena and more if they venture into the playoffs. Philips Arena also is the backdrop for a number of different concerts like Prince, Van Halen, Sting, and Usher.
