The Rose Garden has produced a number of great moments in Portland Trailblazers history since they moved in before the 1994-’95 National Basketball Association regular season. The team has made it into the playoffs nine times out of ten since moving into the Rose Garden and has made it into the Western Conference two straight seasons, the first in 1999 and the second in 2000. The Rose Garden has always been one of the keys to the Trailblazers’ success. From the 2002-’03 season to the 2003-’04 season the team accumulated a 56-26 record at home, which would’ve landed them in the top four seeds in the playoffs year in and year out, and a record of 39-43 on the road in that same span. Clearly the Trailblazers have a distinct advantage when they play in front of the rabid fans in the Rose Garden.

The Rose Garden isn’t just for Portland Trailblazers NBA basketball games it is used for a number of different things. The Portland Winter Hawks of the Western Hockey League and the Portland State University Vikings of the NCAA are also tenants of the Rose Garden and play all of their home games within its familiar settings.
