The San Antonio Spurs call the SBC Center their home away from home during the 82 game National Basketball Association regular seasons. Of the 82 games the Spurs will play half of them in front of their hometown fans. The city of San Antonio has always been in love with its Spurs. The town always supports the team 100% and it showed when the taxpayers footed the bill for the $186 million stadium. The Spurs have always repaid the city by protecting their home court and being one of the toughest teams to beat at home. The Spurs have already had a great deal of success since moving into the SBC Center in 2002. As a matter of fact, the first season the Spurs played in the stadium they won an NBA championship.

One of the cool things about the SBC Center, other than the southwest feel of the architecture, is the HEB FanFiesta that they have overlooking the west half of the court. The FanFiesta is a place where kids and adults alike can go and enjoy themselves with interactive games and booths. They can play the extreme hoops challenge, take pictures with life size cut outs of the players or play a three point shootout with other fans.
