The Philadelphia 76ers play all of their home games within the friendly confines of the Wachovia Center. The team has enjoyed a good amount of success since moving into the new stadium. During the 1999-2003 seasons the 76ers made the playoffs and had a home court advantage that was rivaled by few teams in the National Basketball Association. During the 2001 NBA Playoffs the Sixers ran through the playoffs all the way to the NBA Finals. The team played three of the five games in the series in the Wachovia Center. The Sixers did lose the series but the Finals were great exposure for the stadium and all the great fans of Philadelphia.
The Philadelphia Flyers also call the Wachovia Center home. They have also enjoyed a great amount of success since moving into the stadium in 1996. The city of Philadelphia has always been known for their incredibly enthusiastic and critical fans. The town will also be known as the town that booed Santa Claus at a sporting event. They do, however, love their teams to death and only expect the absolute best out of each and every one of them.
